Medical Pedicure
Medical Pedicure at The You Clinic
Your initial treatment includes a detailed assessment of the health of the feet, including blood flow and nerve reaction. A medical pedicure is performed by a Foot Health Specialist and is designed to treat any problem areas as well assist with general nail and foot care.
Nails are cut and filed to prevent becoming ingrown. Any thickened nails can be painlessly reduced leaving them thinner, smooth and easier to cut.
Any fungal infection can be recognised and treated using available natural medicaments.
Cracked heels, hard skin, corns, any excess callus will be removed and advice given to reduce reoccurrence.
Verrucae can be treated by scalpel debridement and followed by an application of medicament.
Ingrown nails can be treated by carefully removing the spike of the nail. Further referral may be given in some cases.
The treatment is performed on dry feet to ensure long lasting results.
Please note: We do not apply nail varnish or any colour in this clinic. Please ensure you arrive with bare nails, we are unable to remove gel or shellac in the appointment time.
